The Mom Test

I received this in my e-mail today. I am pretty sure that I have read it before. It gets a good chuckle from me every time!!

The Mom Test

I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked up something off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away from her and I asked her not to do that. "Why?" my daughter asked."Because it's been on the ground, you don't know where it's been,it's dirty, and probably has germs," I replied. At t his point, my daughter looked at me with total admiration and asked, "Momma, how do you know all this stuff, you are so smart."I was thinking quickly. "All moms know this stuff. It's on the Mom Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mom."We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information."OH...I get it!" she beamed, "So if you don't pass the test you have to be the dad."''Exactly," I replied back with a big smile on my face.

Go Green

When I saw these in the store yesterday, I laughed so hard!! I guess you could say, it's one of those "inside joke" things, from all the way back to high school. So funny!
So if you want your Valentine's day to be extra special, you better go get you a bag! :)

WARNING!! Consumption of The Green Ones may result in elevated romance levels. If you experience this effect, contact your significant other immediately.

Victory!

What an exciting game!! I wasn't sure if the Giants could pull it off but I am so happy that they won! Any team that can cause that big of an upset and destroy the Patriots "perfect" season, deserves to be my favorite team!! I just wish I could have watched it with my brother Justin! Woo Hoo!! :)

The game was good, the food was good, and so were some commercials!

Photo's of the week

"Mom, come see what Natalie is doing!" Is what I heard before I saw this! Oops, I guess the tray wasn't on tight enough. And yes, her foot was stuck in the chair! Luckily it kept her from standing up and leaping off!!

Karlie loves her easel from Santa! She especially love to paint. She enjoys mixing the colors to see what new ones she can create! I can't wait until Dustin pulls his easel out so they can paint together! :)

"Mom, get me a book so I can read it to Natalie." Awwww! I love it when the girls play together! And I love this picture!!

I can't wait to see what photo oportunities we have next week!

Hawaii Chair

I have another video for you to watch. It may not be quite as good and moving as the last one, but it just might brighten your day a bit! I love to watch Ellen when I can. Her show is so random and Hilarious! I definitely think I would pee my pants on this chair! Enjoy!

Cheesecake Surprise!

The girls and I spent some time in Utah last week visiting my family. We has a great time! My Mom took us out the lunch at the new Cheesecake Factory. It is the first one in Utah and located perfectly at my favorite mall! (Fashion Place) Me and my Mom ordered delicious Salmon and shared with the girls! Natalie was starving!! I started her off with some broccoli and was very surprised to see her eat it! I always thought Karlie was my only broccoli girl. (as posted here)
It has been a little more difficult to get Natalie to eat anything healthy. Especially the green stuff! But she didn't just eat the broccoli, she inhaled it. Along with the salmon! I have never seen her lick a plate clean before. It was hilarious! It just goes to show you, if your kids are hungry enough, they just might surprise you!

Superbowl Bound!

As long as I can remember my brother's favorite football team has been the NY Giants! Last night they beat the Packers 23-20 in overtime! Read about it here. I wish I could have watched it! Sadly my brother had to work, so he missed it too. But I am sure he was happy to hear the news!! Luckily he will be off for the big game! I love it when the underdog wins! Your loyalty has payed off Justin! GO GIANTS!!

Me and my Alpaca

The other morning Karlie was carrying around our little stuffed Alpaca Marilyn/Hamilton. (the name changed depending on the day and if it is the mama or the baby) Natalie noticed and started pointing and squawking for it. I asked Karlie if Natalie could hold it for a minute and then she could have it back. Once Natalie got a hold of the Alpaca she was so happy and kept giving it loves and kisses. Karlie was pouting, so I decided Natalie's turn was over. I told Karlie to go and get Natalie's care bear so we could do a little switch. I showed Natalie her care bear and was giving it loves and Kisses hoping to entice her to switch. I held the care bear up to her and..... she pushed it away!! It was one of the funniest things she has ever done! She LOVES Marilyn/Hamilton! Karlie gave up and just let her hold onto it for the rest of the morning.

Now, in case you are wondering why we have a stuffed animal Alpaca (because seriously, who does?) This is why! My parents own a few Alpacas! The Mom is Marilyn and the baby boy is Hamilton. He was born this last summer. I posted about it here.

To wrap up this post I have a bit of classic Sesame Street for you to enjoy. When I was little I LOVED this!! It was one of my all time favorite moments from sesame street. (don't ask me why) This will be my girls with their Alpaca's some day! Aren't Alpacas so much prettier than llamas?! :)
